What is Mediation?
Mediation is a different way for couples to make decisions about their children and finances following the decision to separate. It also offers another way of resolving disagreement for other family members following separation.
Mediation offers an affordable, cost effective alternative to potentially damaging court proceedings. It involves meeting together in a neutral place with an impartial mediator, who manages the mediation meetings and prepares the documentation which can be used for the basis of a legally binding order.
Deciding to separate is hard enough, the decisions that follow are made easier with mediation.
The first meeting is a meeting for you alone and is offered FREE of charge for everyone. It will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
At each stage of the mediation, the process will be explained fully. You will also be encouraged to obtain Legal Advice before making any final decisions.
